Celebrating 40 Years of the White Mountain Milers, the 2025 Race Features a Fresh Route, Custom Artwork, and Fun Prize Categories
NORTH CONWAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE - August 11, 2025 - The White Mountain Milers running club is thrilled to announce the return of the 38th annual North Conway Half Marathon & 5K, presented by Northeast Delta Dental, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with an 8:00am start, rain or shine.
This year’s race features a new out-and-back course pending certification, starting and finishing at Schouler Park in the heart of North Conway Village. The half marathon heads north on Route 16 and takes a left down River Road. Racers will run out and back along West Side Road, turning around near Passaconaway Road, and returning to Schouler Park.
The 5K course also starts and finishes at Schouler Park, following a scenic out-and-back route down River Road.
“Participants will enjoy a fast, flat New England route showcasing early fall colors and stunning views of the Saco River, Cathedral Ledge, Mount Washington, and the Presidential Range,” shared White Mountain Milers board members and race director, Arthur Viens. “We look forward to seeing runners and walkers of all ages and abilities taking part in the half and 5K.”
The race is well-known for its flavorful swag with over 30 homemade pies awarded to age division winners as well as custom finisher medals, performance race shirts, free race photos, and live results are included for all participants. Awards will be given to top finishers in multiple categories, including:
Top 3 male/female overall (half & 5K)
Top 3 male/female age groups (19 & under through 80+)
Top male/female local resident (Oxford & Carroll Counties)
New for 2025: Special prize categories including 1st Responders, Miler Scholarship Winners, Alpinists, and those who have summited all 48 4K Footers
“Back for a second year, we have an event poster featuring artwork titled ‘Summer in the Mountains’ by local Maine artist Jessie Lozanski,” said White Mountain Milers Board President, John MacMahon. “The artwork is featured on this year’s race shirts and the race posters will be awarded to top winners and available for purchase at the vendor village, with proceeds benefiting the Gretchen B. Hatch Scholarship Fund.”

Since its inception, the race has raised over $150,000 for the scholarship fund, supporting graduating seniors from Kennett High School and Fryeburg Academy. In 2025, the club awarded $12,000 to local students.
